To kick off the fall season (in the northern hemisphere, anyways), we’re launching “Albeo,” a light and colorful two-column theme, designed by Elena at Design Disease.
It’s a beautiful, colorful, yet minimal theme – and it’s easy to find (since we list themes in alphabetical order). You can enable Albeo by clicking the “Design” tab in your dashboard.
Keep your eyes peeled for new themes in the future. We’re going to do our best to deliver as much theme-tastic fun as we can this year!
oooh .. it looks tempting.
This is really a pretty theme. I love it. Compliments to the chef!
Thanks, let me see the theme
Looks cool at least I really like the color scheme and layout, the background graphics I could live without them.
forgot to mention, I really love the 3-in-1 widget that comes with it.
Looks great! but when will we get a Twitter friendly template?
Quite nice, and I do appreciate that it is readable. Please, sir, I want some more.
i m sick…really sick…elena at design disease has spread an unstoppable virus…..jus awesum theme….i know, nobdy can wait now for newer themes….
MORE THEMES! MORE THEMES!!!
Very pretty! Too bad it doesn’t have a custom header, though.
Very beautiful! It fits my sport blog very nicely, thanks! 😀
Cute and Strong 😉
Got it and will try for some days, but got already some complaints. 😆
IT’s not good! I don’t like it. This Theme, as all Themes here, are so limited in design and ! Why is the font never fitting in? And so on
That is just soooo good. I hope others will live up to that high bar.
Looks nice, let’s try it… 🙂
yeah right! 😀
y r we really suposed to like COLORS!:(:):(
I’m super excited for the new themes to come!
Awaiting 3 col new themes…..
its so nice
Really nice theme but is a little bit too small (in my case). I really like it anyway.
More themes please. You might give some thought to meta-themes. Divide them up into categories like: personal expression; sports and leisure; crafty; photographic; business blogs; futuristic; art deco; abstract; etc.
any special extras about it?
Very cool! Can’t wait to see what else you’ve got in store!
Nice! That’s a very accessible-looking, cheerful theme.
Pretty cool! I’m gonna be trying it out for some time. Can’t wait for new themes!
sweeeeeeeeeeeeet~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love new themes!
thanks for the new theme, have been waiting! (: more more!
wowww…. i like the theme. very interesting. apik tenan. 🙂
that theme is so cool and i can’t wait until they release more!
ooh pretty!
Indeed the area of themes has been laid back quite a lot lately… and it’s understandable since much of the work has been put to improve the machinery that keeps wordpress working perfectly. But now IT’S THEME TIME!!!!
It’s really nice… beautiful.

It’s nice theme ! but, i’m waiting for new theme:)
Hey, there seems to be a problem with Albeo’s Top/Latest/Tags widget. The top post section doesn’t reflect the actual top posts but repeatedly displays the same post only.
aw… what happened to the custom header function? And is it possible for us to adjust the number of comments which may be shown in the tag/top/comments widget? 3 is a tad little.
thanks so much!
That’s a nice one! Might have to give that a try sometime in the future.
Very cute. I really like her ‘gossip city’ theme, I’m using for my other wordpress.org site.
thanks a bunch, Elena!
it’s a great theme (coz i’m using it now 😛 )
seriously, it’s fun, it’s girly (yes!), it’s colorful, i dunno… the theme itself like shouting “let’s have fun and brighten our day” 😀
but i wish, i can put my special header on mine 🙂
looks great
Nice one. I’m trying it out right now 🙂
that is very very very beautiful .
but it is not very good for right to left languegs like persian or arabic in the title of the blog.
any way i thank you very much for your supports!
I like a (very) few of your themes, but I don’t use most of them for one reason: no justified columns, and here’s another one (not that I would use this sherbet looking abortion, anyway). If the text isn’t justified, it looks sloppy to me. That’s what’s wrong with most of your themes.
This new theme: what makes you think people want to use a very stylistically strong theme like this, knowing that 10,000 other people are probably using it as well? It kind of negates the entire “strong statement” point of the theme when thousands of other people are also using it, making anyone who also uses it look like a tool “Oh look, another person using Altheo or whatever, how quaint” which means to avoid looking like a tool, most people choose the most generic of your themes because who wants to be yet another herd member using that stupid theme with the pen at the top, etc. And does anyone use that banana one? Jesus.
Which brings me to my point.
I just wish you would get past not allowing CSS revisions on the free blogs. You’re stifling a lot of creativity and freedom. The people who aren’t buying the premium blog aren’t going to be persuaded over CSS anyway, either way, you’re just insuring there are a lot of fugly, cookie cutter blogs out there forced to use your (mostly) really shitty themes.
I just applied the Albeo Theme and it simply plugs so much vibrancy in the blog.
Thanks so much and MORE THEMES!
ditto
“Design desease” produces a lot of fantastic themes, I’d love to see more from them in here!
am trying it… cool! good job, WP!
Please, please, please, more 3 column themes and more widgets!!!
Hmm, cute thingie!

pretty themes and comfortable eyes , the fine
I didn’t realize it was new but I just activated it, I really like it! I’m looking forward to more options too :3 yay for choices!
glad to see WordPress showing love to the themes these days 🙂
Nice theme… can you make it also avaiable in Polish? I can help with translation…
I said WoW, pretty good theme!
Albeo looks like a nice theme… but Noel Jackson is the real cutie! 🙂
werd.
I can’t wait for more themes, too. Pastel or just simple, without pink and girlish stuff. I don’t know why people say that girls love pink, I like green and blue colors.
Hey. I gotta admit, this theme is awesome. I agree with Adam, it has everything we need. Good job!
~dark~
Good stuff!
Very cool. I am excited about getting my first blog rolling.
It’s about time. More more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more !
Need I say more?
Awesome – keep coming out with the themes!
(By that I mean, “Why the heck aren’t there more than just one at a time here and there?”)
How about some strong and subtle themes? Seems the theme selection is very limited and your choices are between foofy light colored themes, bizarre three column templates, or dark World Of Warcrafty/Sportscar themes.
Or just let us pick the font and background colors on existing themes? There’d still be big demand for custom CSS, but yet allow us free geeks to have a modicum of options aside from a custom header.
cool!
Beautiful theme! I just activated it on my blog too. I REALLY like the feature that shows more pages in a single line at the top. Very nice. The type is a little small, though, particularly with such a large font for the titles …
Love the new theme. I would like to see more light, tropical, vacation type themes for my Destination Panama blog.
This looks good, but I want more themes with custom colours!
Hurrah for new themes!!
I liked the colors. Ditching my old theme and I’m now using it.
The theme I like most is Tarski.
However I would like to have available the following modifications:
(a) A wider text column;
(b) Darker text (i.e. black text).
perfect!
thanks
Cool…
I really like the Albeo Top/Latest/Tags’ widget 😀
This is a new concept I think, I didn’t see like that before on any other themes, CMIIW.
CWAL for any new themes!
Note: CWAL = Can’t Wait Any Longer; it’s one of Starcraft cheat code 😉
this is the most nicest theme I ever sawed …
Micro Nik: Yes! There is a nice widget that does a cool ajax switch between top posts, latest post, etc.
putting it to use now. love it. Thanks 🙂
Loving it! Thanks!
I switched to this theme immediately. Great work, Elena!
yeah, new themes always welcome because they mean more choices for bloggers. way to go WP!
nice!
Awesome! Thanks!
yeah…i still think MistyLook really rocks…currently using it..but kudos though! ^_^
Great with new themes, that is well needed.. I miss new refreshing photoblog themes. Dark and calm ones. Gey, black and “silent” colors, but yet graphic. Hope to see that soon!

Cool! I’m switching!
Nice one !
And, if I dare I’d like to add my request : a new theme with dynamic width, 3 columns, a header, clear separation between posts, and smart icons to indicate comments, post date …
Using it right now 😀
Nice theme, good job 🙂
Dilectio looks so much better than this one. 🙂
http://designdisease.com/portfolio/dilectio_wordpress_theme/
But launching Albeo here is a good step for WordPress.
Wow… I’m using that right now! =D
Noel – you need to smile, dude…
I like that WordPress is adding new themes…but how about more dark/black two-column themes with a custom header? I’m modifying some of the current themes (I’m using Cutline, except I changed the color scheme to black background/white print), but I would like to see some more options on the darker end of the spectrum….
Great, thanks! I love having more choices. 🙂
wow….very nice..
