This would be our trailer. Check out some of the upcoming new features and design changes in this sneak preview video, including how to customize your dashboard, the new comment reply feature, the new navigation system, and the customizable posting screen. When you’re finished watching, take the poll below the video to tell us which feature you’re looking forward to the most.
A note on timing: WordPress 2.7 was originally scheduled to be released on WordPress.org for download on November 10th. WordPress.com would have had it installed as soon as possible thereafter. However, the launch date has been delayed due to some additional complexity and our determination to test all the new features with current users before releasing the updated software. 2.7 is expected to be released on WordPress.org by the end of November. We may be able to bring 2.7 to WordPress.com blogs slightly before the official launch date, but for now, no dates have been finalized. When we have a fixed date, we will announce it on this blog, so you all will have plenty of notice of the upcoming change.

Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!
If wordpress was a movie, it would get a NC-17 rating cause it’s so damn sexy.
The new dashboard is really even more clearly laid out / more comfortable than it is already now (I am using WordPress only since 3 days, but I already feel familiar with the conception despite the vast range of possibilities, etc.).
The reply on comments function is a feature I missed – It will make communication a lot easier.
With 2.7 I’ll get even more enthusiastic!
can’t wait
super! im drooling already!
Well done WordPress!
Good news, I wait to use drag and drop……
kind of ike the 2.7… but is it gonna be slower or faster than the previous one?
You guys rock !!! ‘STATE OF THE ART’
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…I’m waiting to download 2.7…tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…

can’t wait!!!! 🙂
what will i need to use it?
do i need to buy something, or is it all free?
ditto on the tick toc…. ‘hurry up’ is not a big enough statement…
Nice, this will really improve the experience. Hopefully getting me to post abit more…
Looks good. i’m looking forward to being able to re-arrange things. I really don’t like the “most commonly used cats” thing. I like the classical wordpress a little better…
I love advances; and I am thrilled that you’re delaying the release in order to assure you’ve got the bugs out prior to it being unleashed upon we users.
I remain steadfast in my love of wordpress and their commitment to the people using tier systems!

Good job. It’ll be worth the wait.
soo cool
really neat I can’t wait.
Take your time and make sure everything works. Hopefully it won’t be another episode like the change in the image posting.
make it more easier
I hope that this version works with Google Gears!
looks awesome!!! can’t wait!
ok I guess i cant wait….
I’ve been testing the Betas for a week or two now and don’t really notice any changes to the comments section. I was expecting nested comments. Have checked out the full Intense debate nested comment system but that doesn’t quite work the way I’d like either.
Is the core update only because I am testing Beta or is it also a new feature (subversion updating?)
This looks like fun, but I imagine it would make some people crazy. Options, options, options…
i’m waiting to download 2.7..
… thx..
Ooooooooh can’t wait for this, fantastic 🙂
So. When will 2.7 be released on WordPress.com or will it be available at the same time on WordPress.com AND WordPress.org????
i love the ending sentence: “this time is personal”
I cannot wait! This will be a great Christmas present from WordPress, in the midst of all this economic gloom. Thank you.
This is great! I look forward to this! Will it change the program only or also the website?
NS
i’ve seen better.

the only thing that im not satisfied with wordpress is the missing ”justify” alignment when writing a post =( the rest is awesome though~

Gosh! I really wanna use it >.<
. . . it would use better grammar

It Looks To Confusing But I Like The Lay Out! =} Thxs WordPress! Rock On! ☺☻☺☻

If WordPress 2.7 was a movie it could be a guaranteed hit! So much Action is here!
Even 100% better than lifeless & boring “Twilight”.
Peace, Love & Joy to All WP 2.7 Creators

er… wordpress 2.7 = the god father
This is a comment about the teaser, not the features. Sorry, you all, but this drives me crazy every time I see it (maybe because I used to be an editor). It should be “If WordPress 2.7 WERE a movie.” I’m sorry to be didactic, but I want you to continue to be the best you can be, and that includes grammar.
I love all the new features, but i will really enjoy them if loading times will not be incereased significantly (and resource consumption as well).
But also i would like to be able to add any/more plug-ins (on the .wordpress.com hosted ersion) even per pay.
Best, and a new WP movies to me, THANKSSSSSS WORDPRESS. GOOD JOB
So when do we get to try this out? It looks really clean and intelligently laid out. Hopefully it will save clicks and back clicks. Nice. OS
I just moved from Boggler to WorkPress… I have no regrets and looking foward for more ameliorations.
Je viens juste de changer de blogger à WorkPress et je ne regrette pas mon choix… J’ai bien hâte de vois ces améliorations!
When will we see the changes?
