Today we bring to you a fresh new theme from Jestro Themes. Meet Vigilance:

Vigilance has a super-special set of features, which you can access under Appearance > Vigilance Options after you’ve activated the theme under Appearance > Themes. These include:
- Customizable colors: You set the background color, border color, link color, and link hover color.
- Alert box: A special feature just for this theme, the optional alert box appears at the top of the page and can contain an announcement or other notice that you want to keep prominent on your blog.
- Hidden pages: Enter the page ID numbers of the pages you don’t want to display, and they’ll be hidden from the menu at the top of your blog.
Vigilance also has a custom image header and special widget options. You can display one wide sidebar or two thin sidebars on your blog. As always, you control the look of your blog by adding and removing widgets under the Appearance > Widgets menu. But now, special to Vigilance: If a sidebar doesn’t contain any widgets, it simply disappears.
not that good
That Is Cool I will try it. The part i might like best is the hidden pages.
muito bommmmmm
super! my blog wears it now! thanx!
Looks great 🙂
Like the alert box idea.
Very nice 😉 Good job!
Tried it and switched! Thanks!
I’ll be using this one on my new blog
I like the look of this one – well done, guys! Really loving this whole WordPress thing – very inspiring. Have never blogged before, and am amazed at how quick & easy it is – and the whole “preview” thing with themes is most excellent! 🙂
I think this is the best theme.
I cant find it in theams
Last page 🙂
Loving the theme – works great for me.
It looks very well this theme but if it was possible to expand it a bit would have been better.
Thanks. I really appreciate new themes. More coming soon? Love these new ones.
I wish you bring some better looking 3-column themes. Garland is the best so far but it could do with some feature upgrades.
you should add some of these features to other themes – especially the alert box.
This is awesome. 😀
Great theme, does everythig I can possibly want. Pity it is not localized at all. Matter of fact it is not even gettexed as yet. So voluntary translators (like me) have no way to contribute.
You can contribute to all WordPress translations at translate.wordpress.com. It’s much appreciated!
simply great ,. Really looks good, especially the alert box.
Great looking theme. I’ll be using it for a very long time.
this is cool
it’s aiiiiiight
Hi! I find this new theme simple yet awesome and I intend to switch to it mainly because of the ‘alert box’ feature. The only thing is I don’t know how to generate HTML codes that the feature requires. I would appreciate any help and information. Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure what HTML you’re referring to. Please contact support with some more specifics, and we’ll help you out.
GR8… nice one

This theme looks perfect for a new blog I’m planning to launch.
I’m still trying to come to terms with all the great knowledge this place has gotta offer but nevertheless will relinquish at such new technical device.
awesome!
how do you add a banner to your blog? Im new to all this blogging stuff, please reply!
Some themes provide custom image headers. You can see which ones by selecting that filter from the dropdown under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard.
Looks great
I’d like to see a new theme that, similar to DePo, shows more than one post on the homepage.
it looks very plain…
wordpress need a more interesting themes like the ones provided here:
http:// http://www.h4x3d.com/themes/
It’s good innovation!
Go to the 3.0 🙂
pretty sweet
This theme is cool!
The theme really looks good..been waiting for something like this for sometime now…keep up the good work!!..
aww, if only i was dedicated enough to make my own theme….. 😦
After fiddling about with it a bit, I’m really, really loving it. My blog looks so much more lovely now. 🙂
Zen.
Nice, I wish it also had a photo header as a hook; maybe even a random or cyclic photo that changes with every few clicks. Hum?
It actually does have a custom image header, as well. Check it out under Appearance > Themes.
Saweet, thanks for the new themes, keep them coming, my blog is loving them haha.
Seems to plain, again 😦
Looks nice, I better try it out. Thanks! 🙂
how can i activate vigilance theme in my blog…
You can find it under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard.
Despite the brilliance of this theme, there is a bit of problem with this theme (apart from the buggy sidebar fonts)!
When you click a particular category then all posts in that category are displayed. Fine.
Then you click on one post and it is fully displayed. Okay, as expected.
But just where the post ends it shows the category name below the post like “from –> (category name)” and when you click on this category hyperlink it takes you to WordPress tags page with that entry!!!! 😦 😈
You can see it on One Cool Site (Or any other blog with this theme for that matter).
Now that’s double whammy because clicking on the tags was already taking us to WP page with that tag search!
I am trying out this theme on a new blog of mine and this is what I encountered! Do tell me if I have erred.
P.S.: It is about time you guys included ‘One Cool Site’ in your recommendations in the FAQ page (just as you have included Lorelle). Timethief (One Cool Site) is always helping people despite her serious illness and hers is a brilliant and more focused blogging help site (WP optimised).
The categories below the posts have always been linked to the global tags pages. That is how WordPress.com is setup.
Vigilance, means elegance!
It’s great, I had it on my blog 🙂 Really awesome, even on IE everything works 😛
wow..
it cool..and …
for me..it just missing something..he3..
first. thanks for a great, easily usable communication tool. pleeeeaaassse add these layout mod features to the themes. if you don’t i may need to go elsewhere to host a theme that i feel is flexible enough.
cheers,
nik
