Thanks to the many users who have been testing the comment reply via email feature we are now ready to open it up to all WordPress.com users. Here’s a quick refresher video on how it works:
Two things to enable this feature. First, make sure email notifications for comments are turned on. Second, select the ‘Enable sending comment replies via email’ option. All of these items are on the Settings > Discussion page.
With those options in place instead of clicking back to your dashboard, you can reply to the comment straight from e-mail. When you click reply, a special WordPress e-mail address will appear in the Sender line, matching your reply to the proper comment thread. Send it off, and your reply is up on your blog in seconds.
Really digging the blending of blogging and email? Just wait, there’s more to come!
I wish I had one of those t-shirts.
Why top-posting?

That’s how most users reply to email.

Sweeeet. Thanks, WP Team.
great!will tryit.Thanks.
Cool feature. I will try it out and make sure my wordpress name shows instead of my email name since I read someone was having a problem with that. I also have all comments held for moderation but this way I can go and approve the ones I want and then answer at leisure during the day. This is a plus for me. Thanks.
Thanks for the information. It made life must more easier. WordPress is way ahead of the rest.
It,s very nice

Is this feature available in the WordPress.org version? If not, any plans for adding it?
If you use a commenting system like Intense Debate it’s included.

GREAT!
Just found you today… i am glad i did!
i love this tool
Cool! Don’t think I’ll be using it, though 😐
really nice..
Why does the author’s own comments only appear after all reader’s comments, regardless of the time the author’s comment was made?
Comment replies via email are processed as a reply to that email, that way the comments will show up correctly on blogs that use comment threading.
I can’t do it. My message don’t appear in this blog: http://laspruebasdenynaeve.wordpress.com/2009/03/18/395/#comment-766
I saw your ticket in the support system, I’ll follow up there.
Interesting
looking forward to seeing how it works!
i’ll try it… thanks!
Ok, just wanted to say seeing I criticised the feature further up in the thread that all the issues I’ve had during the beta have been fixed and I really like the feature now. I’ll definitely be using it.
Thanks and nice work. 🙂
wordpress is getting more attractive day by day..
nice feature 🙂 Thnx
great job. Thanks.
Works like a breeze. Super Stuff!
Looks great, thanks
I can’t wait to try this, but I am wondering if the rubbish that my email system adds to my email about privacy etc will also get dropped into the reply!!!! Might need to switch my email over to my gmail to make this work smoothly – BUT I love to get the notification pop up on my desktop at work.
Depends on exactly where your email system adds the text. If it’s at the bottom of the email (below the quoted section) then it most likely will not show up in the comment.
Good stuff. Now all that’s missing is that back massage and a sandwich. Come WordPress, get on it! Lol!
Halo… iam new comers and study what is a wordpress … i want to edit foto?
If you’re just getting started, there are tons of helpful resources available and easily searched for on our support docs and forums: https://wordpress.com/support/getting-started/2/

Cool, going to test it out!

Wow! This is great! Now I can reply to the comments straight from my blackberry!
Next I think you guys at Automattic should enable live video feed posts. What I mean is we could be able to do a live video for a post. Just like live news but Live Post!
thanks, that great! I really like it!
Another great addition

plz help me
what should i do?
Check the ‘Anyone posts a comment’ option under ‘E-mail me whenever’ on the Settings > Discussion page.
Awesome Feature!
This is great news. Thanks
Beginning yesterday, this feature started to behave differently. Initially, when I replied it posted on the blog with my avatar, just like it does when replying from computer. Now, it seems to think I am a different person, and doesn’t recognize me and connect it to the avatar. I also get a second email now, notifying me that a comment was received. Duh, it was my comment! Any ideas on why the change? Thanks!
When a comment comes in it looks to see if there is a WordPress.com account associated with it. Did you reply using a different email address by chance?
If you continue to see problems please contact support and we’ll pin down what’s going on.
This is great idea, thanks
Thank you for teach us, and now I learned how to use it.
Settings changed and ready to roll. Thanks!
Yeap! It is interesting!)))
