Automatticians in the Bay Area were convinced it was summer this past week, when it rose above 90 Fahrenheit (about 32 Celsius) and we headed to the freezers to stick our heads in. Now it’s back to something much more reasonable and the northern hemisphere is happy to proclaim that it’s spring!
To kick off the season, we’re bringing you a fresh new springtime theme for your blog: SpringLoaded by The 449.
It’s got all the standard features you love, plus a few fresh touches that make it perfect for the fairest season, like a striking green background and sprigs of grass near the search.
You can find SpringLoaded in your dashboard under Appearance > Themes (which is arranged in alpha order).

Nice theme, but i noticed that the mouse-over color on the links in the sidebar don’t become white (remain green), causing a bad effect. Can you fix this?

Not bad looking, but it’d really be nice to see some themes that can properly handle wide/large images. Most of the ones that do don’t look particularly stylish.

I don’t like it.
I think this is a cool theme actually seeing as I do most of my photography in an outdoor atmosphere. one thing I would like to see is more themes that have a cultural meaning. like a theme based on coffee that a person mentioned before. or a theme based on current events, or geographic places (like DC, NY etc…), or breakfast, dinner, lunch and things like that. I think the themes should have a contemporary cultural meaning to make them more lively. this theme is a good start in that direction.

It’s autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, and antipodians also use WordPress. Winter is drawing in fast. Here in Cape Town the weather is still fine, but the top priority is already to take precautions against the predicted heavy rains and really bad floods – with many poor communities living below the flood line. And we’ll probably be hit by your swine flu in mid-winter …

Nice! I have already switched to April F. I would welcome more themes like this -clear, well organised, colorful without stridence. Just the right middle between minimalism and overdesigning.

You know what I would really love? A three-column theme just like “Misty Look” but with widgets on both sides. I have a lot of widgets, which are on the right side. The left side is completely blank, though.
Most people are right-handed so it makes perfect sense that the links would be on the right side, but I have a lot of quotes as well, which I would like to put on the left side.
Currently, I use Misty Look for my blog because my custom header comes out so well. The other three-column themes that WP uses just don’t look right.
Is there a way WP can create a three-column them with a thick body for those of who love widgets–and prefer quotes on the left and links on the right–and do a lot of writing?

unfortunately new theme is not available im my blog control panel appearance themes…incredible….is that because we are too far from civilization ?
It should be there. Make sure to check all of the pages in the Appearance > Themes section.

Theme Compliments the ” Earth’s Day”
Very nice looking theme.
It’s nice, I like green. However, what I really want is a version of the theme I have with the ability to put in a customizable header, with three columns, slightly wider body, the ability to have posts automatically go into “categories” in a flash application rather than the tag cloud (though I like that tag cloud thing). I like the color of my theme though…but I want to be able to change the little graphic at the top of the left column. Can you do all that and keep it free:) Perhaps in your next upgrade?
It seems everytime I sign on to wordpress I am confronted by mustache Joes mugshot and his weather bureau blog. I don’t know how he keeps his mug in front so much, but I know my day is off to a much better start when I see your mug instead!

yepp: not perfect for my use but the best free 1 at wp so far. I tried Vigilance first but needed something notsobright for my photoblog.
+ Best implementation of the media gallery I’ve found, the main reason I switched (besides color).
– Would have liked 600px wide main column instead of 570, had to redo some posts to make them look right
– The BROWN color on mouse-over links is NOT pretty!, especially linked miniature pics get an ugly brown list on them. Get rid of, please!

i wish you would add more themes that are subject related, that way people will be drawn to them with small pics of the topic in the background. Google images is a huge way to draw traffic to your site 🙂
