If you’ve looked at your WordPress.com blog stats today, you might have noticed the charts look a little different. We’ve replaced the old proprietary chart object with Open Flash Chart, an open source alternative. Charts now look like this:

(Though I can’t guarantee you’ll see numbers like that).
All the old charts are still available in more or less the same form. And we’re hoping to explore some of the new possibilities Open Flash Chart has to offer – so keep an eye on your stats. Like we had to ask.
And in case you missed it: yes, blog stats now work in your time zone.
Woot! Really excited about the time zone aspect! Just looks a lot better too!
Very nice look. Thanks for the constant improvements!
it’s awsome , i’d love that 🙂
This is really superb… Keep up the good work… Thanks!!!
Looks great, a little bit plain but in a good way….
Great for the business-oriented type of guy..
I rate the new stats chart. glad to say that my chart looks a lot like the one used…
hello… i am newbie… yeah it’s cool actually..!!
Hi Alex,
Thanks for this great update! It looks terrific! Plus, there is no need to memorize the time of “date switch” in daylight-savings timezones.
Can I make a wish (it is almost my birthday)? 🙂
Here is the case when output is not perfect. Let’s assume, that yesterday I’ve got a biggest number of hits for the current graph. If I put cursor over the point on the graph then cursor will change to the “pointing hand” and cover the actual value of hits on a pop-up for this day. The easy fix would be to have some space above the highest value which in turn will provide a place for pop-up to be above the cursor. It happens only for yesterday as a highest result, because pop-up does not have much space around.
Thanks again for the great update,
DreamGYM
I love it!
Cool! you guys are great!! thanks for new look to stats!!
That explains why there seemed to be a time shift in the stats – like 8 hours! Thanks.
i do love the new stats chart. thanks heaps! \m/

This is really awesome. I never understood why my stats reset at 7pm. This is much better, thanks.

Really great, thanks!
New stats are great, love the way they look in the different views. Gives me an idea how my blog is doing overall 🙂
I am a happy boyo.
Absolutely nice feature. This helps a lot in blog administration and measuring the popularity and helps thus is maintaining quality blogging.
New charts good and cool…
HAHAH
and here i was, adapting my mind to the US timezone…
thanks!
The New stats are looking great, Thanks!
love the time zone change for stats, that was very strange…
Now that you’ve added this feature it takes me a lot longer to get my stats to come up. What’s with that? Before it was almost instant, now it’s wait 20 to 30 seconds. Not my idea of an improvement.
I’m sorry to hear about that. Luckily, you can install Gears to speed things up!
I like it
thank you
Love the new stats page, and how it goes by my time zone, great improvement
thanks for all your effort and hard work
I like it.Thank you!
Good work Alex!
Keep on doing, we’ll have the best stats on Planet!
WOW… I LIKE IT ALOT..:)
I love it, I love it, I love it! Thanks! I think it’s an improvement on the old ones. 🙂
I look at my stats daily…and sorry to disappoint or rather embarrassingly admit, I didn’t even notice any change. Nonetheless, thanks for the support.
I did notice the time zone change and I fully appreciate that move. Personally I would like to see the tracking become more intricate and informative. Although I am not sure how “ethical” that is. I know the tracking device I use on my other blog gives me more information on who hits my pages that I can single out a person if I am being stalked and then the ability to block specific ISPs. I am not specifically sure how it works, but it does and I have had to use such a block feature as that over the years.
nice..i hope it will make much better..than before
its good, likable and convinient! Job well done!
nice work!
thanks!
that’s good . but what i really want from wordpress is a chatterbox, so far i cant embed one, so please create one so wordpress can be better than blogspot. i want wordpress to WIN the battle of blog service provider. yeah. dont you agree people?
i really hate that new stats stuff… i want old version back! please if it is posible 😉
Hi, I do like the overall chart (although the difference isn’t really that great), but I don’t like the representation of the graphs of the individual posts. Before there was an additive graph of both the on site views and the syndicated views, and you could see the individual contribution of both counts to the total (the graph was entirely filled with dark blue and light blue colors). At one glance the whole statistics was immediately clear. Now you get separate zigzagging lines of the on line and the syndicated views. It is particularly unclear if the lines cross. Sometimes one line goes up more than the other goes down. Normally you would see the graph go up, now you don’t.
In addition the stats do tend to appear much slower.
Btw. why are on site views shown on the stats page? If possible, I would like to see both the on site views and the total views (on site +syndicated).
Thanks, Jacqueline.
The new stat counter has really given a glossy look to the dashbord. But i would like to provide some feedback as to make available the visitor tracking kind of thing in the application.
Along with some geographical location tracking options as that would encourage and simplify the optimization part for the bloggers
Great stats yes thanks! Keep up the good work.
