Sometimes you want your blog to look a little more structured. To help with that, I’m happy to introduce to you today the Structure theme: a multi-column theme with featured images, an alternate dark color scheme, and customization options.

Structure highlights your latest post—from a featured category of your choice—by displaying the title in beautiful Georgia Italic and highlighting the featured image alongside a special front page widget area.
Did you see the Twitter and Facebook icons in the header? They’ll appear when you add your Twitter and Facebook URLs in Appearance→Theme Options.
And the ordered multi-column layout and high-contrast style of Structure is flush with style.

Structure switches to a two-column layout for posts and pages that ensures your carefully crafted content takes top priority for your readers.

I know you’ll like Structure’s drop-down menus and four footer widget areas but I think you’ll really love the customization options. With an alternate dark color scheme, custom header option, and custom background option, you can really make this theme your own. I’ve gone ahead and made a simple example of just that.

The Structure theme is available today in your WordPress.com dashboard and, for self-hosted WordPress.org users, from Organic Themes.
Update: If you need help setting the Featured Image for a post, read our tutorial on Featured Images.
I really like this one.
Please give us more themes like this. I’d love to see themes like Thesis… and keep up the good work… give us more good themes.
Very elegant and eye catching. I like the dark version. I may have to try this one.
I love it! Using it now and I won’t be changing it for awhile now. Great job and beautiful theme.
Eh… it’s okay.
I really, really, really like the darker theme. It is very simple just like ‘Kubrick’, the current default theme for WordPress. I did a little write up on Kubrick on my blog and will review this theme shortly.
I think it looks fine. I personally prefer the white version.
Wow, it’s great, I am going to change mine! Thank you.
My most favorite theme yet!
Nice theme, thank you. 🙂
Nice one I hope to try it out some time.
Awesome theme! Thanks for a great addition to the WordPress Theme Collection. I was using Albeo earlier and am now using ‘Structure’ theme. Have also customized my blog a bit to take advantage of my new theme. 🙂
I like this theme a lot, but there are a few things I’d change, or at least add options for:
– An option to show the featured post excerpt to the right of the featured image
– Don’t show the featured post in the list of posts below
In other words, some of the features of Inuit Types, but with this look at feel.
I really like these new magazine-like themes. Keep em coming.
Awesome theme, guys. I love it.
Nice Theme. I’m already using it. I wonder, could you make smaller size text for quote section?
The large blockquote is part of the Structure style, but that’s something we’ll keep in mind for other themes. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great theme!
I’ve spent 4 hours last night to convert my previous theme to this cool Structure and customize it… ^^
Anyway, I got an idea for the featured image area: why don’t you improve it so it become a separate widget and set it so it able to be customized just like when we insert an image into a post? I think it would be a great thing if I can set and customize the featured image.
It occurred to me when I was trying to put the featured image, but I want it different from the one I inserted in the latest post (just like the example above–or maybe you can show me
how?).
Thanks! ^^
Thanks for the suggestion! It’s something we’ll take under consideration for this theme and future themes like it.
Amazing theme. Loved it. You guys do such an amazing job, no wonder people love blogging on WordPress!
Keep rolling out such themes 🙂
And I would have used this theme if I could get rid of the featured post and pic somehow so having it as a module that you could ignore if you didn’t want to use it as you have done would make this theme the best!
WordPress is awesome. 😉
Already using it. Thanks for sharing it! 🙂
I’m using this theme today. 😉 Thanks.
Ahhhhh… I love the black themes.
*gasp* Gorgeous! I absolutely love it.
I like it. 🙂
Very nice. 🙂
I really like this one.
Excellent Theme – the best yet. I had a go with all the new ones and this is definitely my favourite. It’s great to see a team who care deeply about the work they are doing – keep up the fantastic work.
First a bit confused on how to set the home page image. Awesome theme… especially the dark color scheme.
Yeah, I agree with the 224 commenters who commented on the new theme. It is truly awesome.
Looks great. I’ll try it out.
I’ve been looking another 3 column theme to change to and the new Structure theme is it! Changed my blog to it this morning and am still exploring all the new options.
Very cool, thanks!
Great theme… but sometimes I like to use simple themes. It’s easy for newbie user like me.
I totally love this theme. This theme is a big step for WordPress because it makes your blog to look like a real developed blog.
Thanks for the theme.
By the way… if there are any upgrades in the Featured Zone for this theme, for example: to choose which post you want to promote (not only to promote the last post), it would be a perfect theme. Thanks again.
I love the theme but it seems to miss a couple of widgets, cause there’s a blank space I cannot fill. Then that’s the only thing I can point my finger at, because overall it is a great theme.
I love this theme. Thank you.
Awesome. Salute for WordPress!!
I finally just took the plunge and switched my blog over to the dark option of this theme. So striking. If only the featured image was a touch smaller – it’s almost overwhelming.
Nice … looks good.
