Today we are pleased to introduce Paperpunch, a clean and versatile theme featuring a subtle, textured background and hand-crafted icons.

To go along with a widget-ready sidebar, Paperpunch offers no fewer than four columns at the bottom of the page to display many more widgets.

If you want to customize the look a bit, use the Custom Background option found in your Dashboard under Appearance → Background to change the background color or add your own background image.

To dress up the design even more, you can easily enable gorgeous typography for Paperpunch with two Typekit fonts: Chunk for the site title in the header and Junction for the titles and headings.

Since the correct CSS selectors are already in place for both fonts in the theme stylesheet, you can simply sign up for Typekit, enable Chunk and Junction, refresh, and enjoy! (Learn more about using Typekit with Paperpunch.)
For a working demo of Paperpunch with the optional Typekit typography, visit paperpunchdemo.wordpress.com.
Paperpunch was designed by The Theme Foundry and is now available for your WordPress.com blog and, for self-hosted WordPress.org blogs, from the WordPress.org Themes Directory.
Yeah, loving the new themes lately! Having a hard time choosing what suits my blog the the best, but I love the clean looking ones with white backgrounds the most.
It’s rather plain. A lil’ jazz would be nice 🙂
It’s good but it would be better if it was a dark theme that has a big custom header.
Nice themes!! Nice concept, great initiative, thanks, WordPress.
This one is nice, however i have always loved the widgets to be on either the right or the left side. Anyway, congratulations on all those many many new theme for our blogs! 🙂
Quite impressed. 🙂
Kudos for the work. But I see that the templates available lack in darker tones. It would be nice if the team included more such designs 🙂
Beautiful, but could you PLEASE give a few more options for photoblogs?
Just a note… It seems as though all of the new themes look exactly the same. I think it would be nice if you had more themes consisting of warmer colours, browns and burgundy type colours would be really nice, instead of all of this white, “minimalist” stuff…I do like the fact that is easy to navigate, and that you can change the background colour/image. Thanks for coming up with all the new themes.
I like it… very simple and clean.
A nice and simple theme, not sure about the name though. Keep up the good work. 🙂
Nice theme! Clean and sober. The most interesting parts are customizable theme and four column at bottom. Good work! I liked this!
Looks good.
I really enjoy blogging on WordPress, but a theme which would suit my blog best would be a fun, colorful theme. Any suggestions? Please, don’t forget the spunky WordPress blogs. 🙂
It is really nice… Great design I must say.
This theme is simply beautiful. I will be using it for at least one of my WP sites. Thank you!
I agree with some people – more themes with the main colum to the left – instead of the right side would be much appreciated. So far ive only found quite few with that. Rest is to the right side – and it annoys my eye 😀
Keep up the good work otherwise, its a pleasure to use your work ❤
Nice theme I like the options for the background and the colour choices. We have a lot of themes now, many do look similar and when are we going to have some new functional widgets as that’s what we really need : )
I like the theme but I don’t like changing my themes too often. Maybe sometime down the line.
