Starting today there is a new way for your readers to share the posts on your blog with friends. This feature allows you to add sharing functionality from a range of services to the bottom of your blog posts.

Here’s a quick video introduction:
To begin with we have the following services for you to choose from. If there is a service missing from the list, don’t worry! You can add your own custom services as well.
- Press This
- Digg
- StumbleUpon
- Email to a friend
You can control these new options in your dashboard by going to Settings > Sharing.
You can choose which of these services you want to display and in a range of different formats. If you have the custom CSS upgrade you can go even further and choose your own icons and layout. We have also added stats for all activity around this feature so you will be able to see what content people are sharing and on what services. Check out the sharing support article for more information on getting setup. Note: We will also be releasing this as a WordPress.org plugin next week.
Update: This is now available as a WordPress.org Plugin called Sharedaddy.

Why do I only have the option to share with Email or Print? None of the other icons are showing in the available services?
Your blog must have been private and these are the only options available.

To be honest…that was the last feature that I have missed…now WP is truly the best way to contruct Your blog or even a company page (as I do on external hosting)…everrr!

Here goes removing all the Get Social icons.
Finally, it’s what everyone has been waiting for.
Now to decide which FB button to use. I’m assuming clicks to the FB like button will not be in the stats.
Also, is there a way of centering the buttons with the CSS upgrade?
Yes, you can modify the style of the sharing buttons with the CSS upgrade
Nice. I’ve been pretty much been pasting an HTML code list with a lot of these service’s buttons. This is going to save some time and effort. The WordPress team is really working hard for their bloggers, and it shows. Thanks guys.
This is great! My incoming traffic has increased around 5~10% per day, just from StumbleUpon. Thanks WordPress!
Thought this function had been here for a while? Anyhow nice.
This is totally awesome. I am hoping it will help get my blog out there to more readers. Thanks 🙂
AWESOME! its so hard to get people to see my blog and sharing it is a pain, this is going to help so much (i hope) !!!
