If you’ve ever wondered where on Earth all the visitors to your site are coming from, this feature is for you!
Mosey on over to your My Stats tab on the WordPress.com homepage:
…and check out the brand new “Views by Country” panel.
Now, you can see at a glance exactly which countries comprise your audience:
When you click on or hover over a country name, the map zooms in so you can really get a feel for all the parts of the planet your content has reached:
The Summaries page shows you country stats for the previous week, month, quarter and all time, but keep in mind this feature is new and views by country are not available prior to March 2012:
We are tremendously excited to be working on new features like this for your WordPress.com My Stats tab. Stay tuned for the next evolution!

I just love the way you guys role out these fantastic little bolt ons, fantastic 🙂
Hands down…the coolest WordPress stats feature to date!
Truly groovy feature! Thank you!
Amazing! Exactly what I’ve wanted. 😀 Thank you!
I LOVE it!
I was pretty surprised by this! Great work! I appreciate the hard work 🙂
The best new WordPress feature in ages – thank you (and thanks also to the people of Finland, Azerbaijan and Portugal for finding my writing!)
J.
i’ve enjoyed the countries stat tremendously; is there a way to see a breakout by state for the US? If not, could be a really cool feature that I would love to see
Not yet, but I’d very much like to add this in 🙂
I’m happy you’re enjoying it.
Knowing where your readers are from make Blogging an even more interesting experience. Thank you very much for adding this feature.
I love this and it just appeared on my dashboard as if by magic! Thanks
This is fantastic! thank you WordPress for keeping us together! lol
That’s a pretty cool feature! It can show you where you’re crowd is coming from and see what people are interested in from where.
I love this feature. It gives me bragging rights to having an international following. 😉 Some non-wordpress bloggers have this feature and I had been envious. No more. Thank you.
Thank you very much! It is a fantastic feature 🙂
I absolutely love this addition to the Stats page! I had no idea that people in far reaching spots around the globe were reading my blog! 🙂
This is so cool. Thanks WP!
Thats so perfect. We have friends all over the world and it will be so cool to use this feature.
Hooray! At long last, I really am pleased with this feature.
Great! Great! thanks for your creativity….
Simply great! Thanks.
What a great feature! So glad to know my readers are all around the world.
Great setup. Really useful. Is anyone getting hits from China?
Heya,
I just wanted to share my kudos with those that gave us this feature – very cool! Thanks!
Cheers,

This is great … it inspired the question — what about benchmarks? As a new blogger (<3 months), how does the number visits to my site compare to other new WordPress bloggers? To all WordPress bloggers? Are there benchmarks? Thanks!
Not as such, but that’s a very good suggestion! Thanks 🙂
Great feature. Definitely helpful for my blog. Thanks for that.
This is a super cool feature! I’ve always wanted to know where visitors are coming from, but I didn’t want to have a little third party map thingy on my blog front page, so I just never did it. Now this lets me get all that info. Thanks, wordpress. ^ ^
Keep up the great work!
Very cool! Thanks!
Another nice feature to feed my ego. How kind of you :} This is really a good website, I’ve enjoyed using it. Nice job.
Jeff,
This is a great way for some people to learn geography but it can also turn into an addiction checking on how much of a world-wide impact you are making:)
Fantastic addition. The cartography training makes me say it: chloropleth maps shouldn’t be used for count maps. But I still love it. Recommendations? Dot density maps. Best.
This is absolutely great! I’m from India, and its so heartening to see that people from across the world are reading my blog. I would have never guessed without this feature! Love WP!

Informative new stats feature from WordPress:
A wonderful addition, keep up with the fabulous innovations.
Thank you, this is really good. However, I also want to see “the views by city”. I think this is also very important for local bloggers.
OMG!!
i am loving it.
this is truly the best feature so far .. will help me increase my followers too.
thanks mate for the information 🙂
stay blessed
Thank you, I love it so much, I just blogged about it.

This is a nice new feature for our stats pages. I like being able to see where my readers are coming from. And I like maps. I hope there will come a day when we can see where they came from and what links they followed. I hope that granularity may be in our future.

itll be nice to be able to track my popularity lol which is at zero right now

I love this! The more reporting tools, the better. Stats are awesome.
I only realized this feature today! Really really cool!!!! Thanks very much!!! =)
Great feature guys, well done
I like this, but it only works for today or yesterday. Any reason why you can’t access it by clicking the day you’re interested in viewing? All the other stats are accessible in this way. Or is that an option to be enabled once you see how popular this is?
Great suggestion! Working on this, currently.
One more thing to ad to the ego trip post I’m writing today… as my blog hits 20,000 hits in 8+ months. Way too cool! Thanks WordPress… LOVE it.
I have to say, that’s pretty neat.
I write articles on cricket. I find it amazing to find that bloggers from other countries view my posts. This is an excellent feature to trace your readers location!
This is my favorite stats feature..I live abroad so it’s really useful for me!
It’s cool features, make you could see “How your blog growth in the world’s eye”. And I still wonder how could my blog viewed by people from afrika ?? it’s make me wonder. 😀
I really like this, and it’s like everything is at our fingertips. Thank you so much! I can hardly wait to see what else you will do. Karen
