Happy Theme Thursday! Today I’m excited to introduce two new free themes to our collection.
Baskerville
Baskerville was designed by Anders Norén, and it displays writing, photos, and videos in a dynamic, grid-based layout. It features unique layouts for different post formats, to make different kinds of content pop. Baskerville’s design adapts to any screen size, big or small, so your posts always look their best.
Get to know Baskerville on the Theme Showcase, or give it a spin by activating it from Appearance → Themes.
Edda
Edda, designed by Mel Choyce, is flexible enough to be used as a photoblog, personal journal, or tumblelog. The theme’s sepia-toned images and stylish color give your content an elegant, vintage look and feel.
Check out Edda on the Theme Showcase, or try it out on your blog by activating it from Appearance → Themes.

Baskerville is based on Publisher?

Nope, they have similarities, but they’re two separate themes!
Wow…that Baskerville looks pretty hipster.
I’ll definitely keep that in mind when it’s time for a re-design‼
Thanks!
Baskerville looks so awesome! It makes me think about using it
Beautiful themes. I am particularly favouring Edda. The beautiful typography and the sleek design makes it pretty nice. I also think Baskerville has the efficacy and non-cluttered of a blog with many posts on a single frame. Well done WP
Another set of clean and wonderful themes.
I still like the suburbia theme. Wp needs more themes that are more organized and in columns
I like Edda but must be little bit wider and color is ???!! But good. 🙂
I like the Bakerville Theme it seems easy to use and doesn’t give away the entire post
Hi, I enjoy seeing your new themes etc. Could I please ask if your themes are ok to for us use on wordpress.org, if we have our own hosting. thanks, Liz
Yes! Both themes can be used on WordPress.org sites as well.
There is a download link at the bottom of the right column on each theme’s showcase page, under the ‘Stats & Info’ header (Baskerville, Edda).
Baskerville is also available for download in the WordPress.org theme repository.
Thank you Laurel Fulford – For your new theme on WordPress
I think both the themes are quite wonderful. ❤
Is there an option for custom logo in any of these?
Yes! Both themes support the Site Logo feature!
I call it “Awesome”. 🙂
Baskerville looks so awesome! but too slowly to open 😦
These are both beautiful themes. I wish I had the time to take each of them for a test drive! 😦 Priorities – first get my .org site in shape 😉 I look forward to seeing some of the early theme adopters.
Baskerville looks amazing! All the themes made by Anders Noren look awesome!
