Some readers love settling in with a post. Others catch up while walking, commuting, cooking, or working through a long list of tabs.
Posts to Podcast gives your audience another way to keep up with what you publish.
Starting today, WordPress.com bloggers can turn recent posts into AI-generated podcast episodes directly from their dashboard. Choose the posts you want to include, generate a two-host audio conversation, review the draft, and publish it when you’re ready.
Find it in your dashboard
You’ll find Posts to Podcast under Media -> Create AI Podcast in your WordPress.com dashboard. Choose a time range, such as the last week or month, or select specific posts yourself.

The episode below was generated from recent WordPress.com blog posts using the same feature we’re announcing today:
How it works
Posts to Podcast turns the posts you select into a two-host audio conversation. The finished episode is saved to your Media Library, and WordPress.com prepares a draft post with the audio and transcript already included.
From there, you stay in control: review the draft, make any edits you want, and publish it like any other post. Since the audio is saved to your Media Library, you can also reuse it elsewhere, upload it to another platform, or keep it as part of your site’s media archive.

More ways to share your posts
Use Posts to Podcast to create weekly recaps, monthly digests, audio companions to newsletters, or listening-friendly versions of recent posts.
- Summarize your latest posts for subscribers who prefer listening.
- Turn a month of updates into a conversational recap.
- Share an audio companion to a newsletter, publication, or personal blog.
- Make your archive easier to revisit in a new format.
Available to all WordPress.com sites
Posts to Podcast is available to all WordPress.com sites. Whether you publish daily updates, weekly essays, tutorials, newsletters, or personal reflections, you can turn recent posts into a listenable episode directly from your dashboard.
A new format for your writing
Your words do the work. Posts to Podcast gives them a microphone.
Open your dashboard, go to Media -> Create AI Podcast, and turn your recent writing into something your audience can listen to.
Forgive my ignorance but what’s the process? Is this a plugin? I didn’t see one by the name you referred to.
Hi Joan, no plugin needed.
Posts to Podcast is built into WordPress.com, so there isn’t a separate plugin to install or search for.
Pick your WordPress.com site on https://wordpress.com/sites, open the WP Admin dashboard, and go to Media → Create AI Podcast.
Thank you, Miguel – I’ve checked my dashboard and do not see that option. My site is one that was custom built so maybe it doesn’t show up?
Yeah, that may be it. This feature is currently available only on WordPress.com sites. If your site is custom-built or hosted elsewhere, even if it uses WordPress, you won’t see Media → Create AI there.
I have some of my posts on Spotify and wondering if I can bring them here?
Can music be added to the post?
Love it! 😀
Hi, Patrice. That’s a great question. If your episodes are already on Spotify, you can share them on your WordPress.com site by embedding the Spotify episode or player in a post.
If you want to host the podcast from WordPress.com instead, you can also set up podcasting with Jetpack Podcast and publish episodes from your site.
For the new Posts to Podcast feature specifically, adding background music or intro/outro music to the generated episode isn’t supported right now. The generated audio is a two-host conversation based on the posts you select.
Thanks Miguel! Going to try it out 😎
Excellent 👏👏👏
I’ll experiment with it some more. But I set it to work on today’s post, and it made a total hash of a rather snarky piece that was a word game using cliches. I really couldn’t edit it – it changed the entire “voice” of the piece and turned it into something completely different. I like the idea behind this, though, and as it evolves I may be able to use it.
Thanks for giving it a try, Lou. That’s useful feedback.
We’re looking at ways to add more customization options in the future, including more control over tone and how closely the generated episode should follow the original post.
Appreciate you experimenting with it as it evolves.
I wonder if there would be any way to use the author’s voice or recording as one of the voices?
That’s an interesting idea! We’re noting the suggestion. Feedback like this is helpful as we think through where Posts to Podcast could go next.
Will British accents be available?
Yes, British accents are available. To use them, set your site language to English (UK) in Settings → General:
After that, go back to Media → Create AI Podcast, and the available voices should use the UK English accent.
Many thanks! Yes found it and changed setting to English (UK)
Wonderful! Going to check this new feature out. Thank you.
Does this work only in English?
This works in any language, as long as your content is written in that language and your site language is correctly configured in Settings → General.
Thanks for this! I generated a Pod, but I’d like to modify the content. When I edit in-line, then hit play, it reads what was originally generated instead of my edit. Is there a way to change the narrative once the text is edited?
Hello, thanks for giving it a try!
Currently, the script and audio are generated together, but they don’t stay linked afterwards. If you edit the script, the existing audio won’t be updated automatically, so playback will continue to use the original recording.
Being able to regenerate the audio after editing the script is a great idea, though. We’ll keep that feedback in mind as we continue improving the feature. Thanks for sharing it!
We’re going to need to be able to change the file name. My first file is called posts-to-podcast-1779576131.wav. A few more like that and I’m clicking them just to find the one I need.
Also would be great to be able to edit the text then refresh the audio to match.
Gee, I’d like to read the post myself. I have a great voice and deliver a good read, though love the simplicity of this Ai feature, I’d be shooting myself in the foot – or maybe the vocal chords – to put out a podcast with anything other than my own voice. Thoughts: 1. Can we develop an app for the writer to upload their own voice sample to so the Ai generated podcast uses the writer’s voice? Failing that how about – 2. go to Media -> Create Podcast -> then 2 options to choose from a) Use Ai Podcast b) Upload Recorded Podcast – in this way the writer’s own voice can then be featured. Yes the writer needs to do the recording, but until the writer’s voice can be sampled perhaps this is a way to do it, and keep the podcast within the WordPress platform.
Oh look at there, a little reading and I have my answer! “If you want to host the podcast from WordPress.com instead, you can also set up podcasting with Jetpack Podcast and publish episodes from your site.”
Interesting! I have been writing monthly WordPress blogs for over 15 years now, and this looks like a possibility to add. I need to get answers to several questions about what AI will do with my prose, so I will ask them elsewhere. Also ask my grandson the meaning of “bug reporting”.
Ok this is cool! I’ve been looking for a way to turn my writing into a podcast, but I don’t like speaking into microphones. Will have to give this a try sometime. What file format are the podcasts saved in? I’m guessing MP3?
Thanks! The podcasts are currently generated as WAV files. We initially experimented with MP3, but we ran into some audio quality issues, so we opted for WAV to preserve the best possible listening experience.
Let us know what you think if you give it a try!
Thanks Richard. I get using WAV for sound quality, hut WAV files take up significantly more space. Perhaps we could have an option to save as MP3 or WAV. At any rate it’s a cool idea.
That’s a fair point.
WAV gives us better quality, but file size is definitely a trade-off. An option to choose between WAV and MP3 makes sense. We’ll keep that in mind as we iterate on the feature.
Thanks again!
just tried it, but I do not know where to find the podcast
Thanks for giving it a try!
You can find the generated audio file in your Media Library, and the generated script as a draft in your Posts list. Both are also linked from the Generate AI Podcast screen, where you can revisit your generated podcasts.
Let us know if you’re still having trouble finding it!
Thank You, I did find it, and I also shared it with some of my blogging friends.
Sounds a great idea. I’ll be trying it out shortly.
I can’t describe my first reaction and happiness over this new feature, Alhamdulillah. I am so grateful to God and the wordpress team for sending such practical and delicious innovative features. I love your podcast. I just have two concerns: The limited way AI speakers focus on the entire post rather than letting us decide one focus. And the number of podcasts we can generate in 30 days. It would be great if more flexibility was added to help us create dynamic podcasts. Maybe add a few voice choices as well? Kids version. Ethnic options, etc.
As far as I’m concerned, the dealbreaker is the inability to regenerate the new audio file after edits. As I look at the generated scripts, I see all kinds of areas that I would like to rephrase or add additional information. The idea is really slick (it might be perfect for some), and the generated audio sounds great, but the limitation I described above does not make it workable for my blog.
