Adding site to wordpress may expose login url
-
I’ve noticed a potential security concern regarding connecting your WordPress website to WordPress.com in order to integrate it with Jetpack—it might inadvertently expose your URL.
Typically, I take the precaution of changing the standard login URL for all my sites to enhance security.
This past Sunday, I went ahead and connected my site with WordPress.com. Coincidentally, on the same day, one of my plugins flagged a failed login attempt.
Upon investigation, I found that it was only the second failed login attempt recorded, with the previous one being from someone I’m familiar with—a collaborator who simply entered the wrong password.
I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this issue or if it’s been brought up before. Any insights or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
