Deleted Mediafile still accessible

  Hi.
  This is the problem:
  I deleted a PDF Mediafile from the media manager. But the file is still accessible with the complete link to it:

  Klicke, um auf programm-gc3bctersloher-aktionswochen-gegen-rassismus-2018-final.pdf zuzugreifen

  The file is no longer listed in the mediamanager so I have no access to it.
  I see no other possibility to delete the file itself. But it is still there.

  Due to a copyright infringment with parts of the content of the file – there is a book listed where the author used a title she was not aware that it already exists – the file needs to be deleted asap.

  What can I do to delete the file? Or is there a posibility, that wordpress team may delete it as I see no way of a direct access to the filesystem of the site itself?

  Lösche dein Browser-Cache!

  Mir wird angezeigt dass das File gelöscht wurde.

  Bei mir wird das File auf verschiedenen Maschinen in verschiedenen Browsern trotz gelöschtem Cache etc. immer noch angezeigt. Es macht den Eindruck, als wäre nur der DB Eintrag gelöscht worden, aber das File selbst nicht.

  Ich kann den Fehler sogar reproduzieren. Nämlich wenn das File über „bearbeiten“ gelöcsht wird und nicht über die Liste des Mediamanagers.

  I can access the file on doiffernet machines even if I clear the cache before. Seems like only the entry in the db was deleted but not the file itself.

  I am also able to repdroduce the problem. If I delete the file in the „edit“ tab and not dorectly from the list of the mediamanager.

  This is pretty sick. You are totally right, the file does not exist anymore.

  Of course I had cleaned my browsers cache before, used several browsers on different machines and even in browser I haven’t used to access the file before. But it always was and still is accessible.

  BUT: When I use a VPN or even TOR I indeed get an 404. So even without using a proxy it seems, that the file must be somehow cached by my ISP. This is pretty sick.
