disable markdown

  Hey,
  German is an odd language if you want to include multiple genders in one word. The most used form now is to add the female and other genders with an asterisk, as in ‚wordpress-user*innen‘. Problem: WordPress recognizes this as markdown, and puts the text between ‚user*innen‘ and ‚blogger*innen‘ in italics. How can I disable the markdown, so I don’t have to manually de-italic and re-add the asterisks?

  habe noch nicht viel mit Markdown gearbeitet, aber das hier gefunden.

  Das hilft mir leider nix, das ist zwar eine schöne Übersicht darüber, was man alles tolles in Markdown machen kann, aber ich will das ja abschalten :D
