Search indexing seems not to work
-
Thesis: A WordPress free hosted blog (xxx.wordpress.com) with its crawl-delay of 3600 units prevents indexing by search engines like Google (which Google confirms at the Search Console). It does not matter how many posts one posts per day or how lengthy or interesting the contents is. Posts just don’t show up.
Proof: Installation of WordPress blog on a standalone domain – the same number and kind of posts – results in an index listing straight away, within one week. Additional posts are indexed within hours.
Perspective: If posts are not indexed at all or find their way into the index after a long period of time, there is no point in using a free WordPress blog. The general audience will not and cannot be reached. The free WordPress blog is rather a tool for an already existing group of followers and readers.
