Storage problem

Hi there, I have a problem…
Recently I cancelled my WordPress Premium plan which I had for about two years (it stopped on 13th november 2017). And suddenly I can’t any longer download any photos. When I try there is a message that I expired 100 % of 3 GB. Another message says that I even used already more than 6 GB (6 GB were obviously possible with my Premium Plan): „Anscheinend hast du bereits 6,3 GB von 3,0 GB deines Speicherkontingents (210%) verbraucht. Da du das Limit fast erreicht hast, solltest du in Erwägung ziehen, einen WordPress.com Premium Tarif zu kaufen.“ (in Englisch: „Problably you used alreade 6,3 GB of 3,0 GB of your storage contingent (210 %). As you almost reached the limit, you should think about buying a WordPress.com Premium Plan.“)
But how is this possible? I can’t understand nor believe it. I published most of my articles and downloaded most of my photos during the first four years of my WordPress free account, from 2011 to 2015. From the date I had my Premium plan Upgrade (automn 2005) I published much less articles and downloaded much less photos than before! Before I hat the Premium Plan there was no hint that I had already used 3 GB (I even did not know that there is a limit), there was no warning, nothing, I did not have any problems downloading photos. That means that from november 2015 to november 2017 I must have downloaded photos with at least 3,3 GB – but that’s not possible, really!
So please, could you tell me if an error occured and/or what I could do.
