unable to save Website Meta data

  Hi. A while ago I set up two websites on wordpress.com, without problems. They are identical besides the language. Now I want to change the Meta Tag of my web page on Settings->Traffic->Website Meta. When I klick the Save-Settings-button, I get two (!?) popups, both saying: ‚There was a problem saving your changes. Please, try again.‘ No other hint. Reproducible on both sites, with different browsers.
  The theme I’m using is Edin. I’m not sure which further information I should provide, please let me know (and maybe a hint how to get it, as I’m a very beginner).
  Any help is highly appreciated!
