unwanted black frame in a table

  While setting up my homepage, I ran into trouble with a unwanted black frame, see https://kieslichresearch.wordpress.com/members/

  It appears as soon as I use <table><tr><td>… to insert a table. All efforts using style options etc. to get rid of the black frame failed.

  Would appreciate any advice from your side.
