white dead screen – no editing/writing possible

I followed instructions about common problem shooting (emptying cache and so on…) – did not work. Need access to blog again. Not a computer expert so I will need step by step guidance from you folks.

Hi there – this sounds like your problem is local. If you haven’t already, there are a few other things you can try:
– Check that JavaScript is enabled and supported by your browser
– Check that you’re using the latest version of your browser
– Disable any ad-blocking / security extensions on your browser
– Try another browser
– Log out and log back into your WordPress.com account

thx but all that did not change anything.
There are several problem fixing tutorials including some videos on wp help, but I lose track when following all steps and get really confused, especially as some features I should see on the screen are simply not there, when I follow the procedures.
When I use a different browser, I can not even log in. WP says: ooops sth went wrong… and I end up in a login loop. Remarkable: it does not say wrong password. -

There have been similar problems with Chrome, Safari, and Edge ( chromium-based browsers). If you haven’t already, try logging in with Firefox.
Alternatively, try logging in from another device or install the desktop app https://apps.wordpress.com/desktop/

, do you mean you´ve used another device (a desktop device) or the app?
If you haven’t tried the app, I would recommend you go ahead and install it. If there is something wrong with your setup, the app will work regardless. https://apps.wordpress.com/desktop/
If you have tried all the previous steps we´ve mentioned + the app and still can’t access your admin area, you might want to try and reach out to help @wordpress.com.

I can use the admin area, but not the editing/writing area. For sure it is a local problem on my computer (other asumptions are very unlikely).
This problem is a problem many wp users have expierienced on their devices so far, but for solving it one must manipulate some codes or elements that usually are not designed to be touched by everyday users who just want to blog without becoming a wp expert digging through the intestines of computerprograms. Not worth my time… as long there is´nt one of those Nerds who exactly know their way through the jungle and is able to provide proper guidance.

I guess I will just start over with another provider than wp then. I can inform my community via social media. Moving content will need a while, so what.
