To verify that you’re an educator, you’ll need to sign up using your official school or institution email address (for example, name@yourschool.edu).

What your class gets

Once approved, you and your students get a full year of WordPress.com — completely free — with everything you need to build real, professional websites.

• Plugins & developer features — install plugins and access the developer tools that power professional WordPress sites.
• Free domain included — choose a .blog or .art address for each site.
• One site per student — every student gets their own space to create, publish, and learn.
• Owned by the student — every site is created under the student’s own account and name, so their work belongs to them for the long term.
• Renew or keep it free — after the first free year, students can choose to renew their sites for just $24/year. Prefer not to renew? No problem — the site automatically drops to a free plan, and all the student’s content is preserved.
