Custom HTML widget in footer widget area

    Hello. I’m trying to add a 6 column menu to the footer widget area by using the custom html widget. The code is very simple, just some html columns with a list of links. The problem is this footer area doesn’t appear anywhere, not in the preview nor when I save and update the website. I think it’s a known wp issue but I read it was fixed a while ago, so maybe I’m having some compatibility/update problems? I’m using WP Bakery Page Builder. Thanks.
