domain mapping

Hi, I hope you can help me with some questions.
I currently have a web page working but i need to re design it on WordPress. I’ve read that you can transfer your domain to WordPress, but they can’t support «.mx», so i have to buy the mapping package.
I have a few quesitions:
1. If I buy the Premium Plan and transfer my current domain to WordPress, will I be able to work on the new design of the web page while the old one is still up?
2. When I first buy the Premium Plan, it asks me to inmediately choose a name to my page or to transfer the domain, if I do, what happens to the current page? Does it goes away? Can i finish the new page and then just replace it with the new one?
3. I need to keep the old webpage up and working while i work with the new one. I usually work on Wix, there you can first work on the page as you wish and Upgrade it later on, once you’ve finished.
Please help!!!

As you said, you won’t be able to transfer a «.mx» domain because it’s not one of the extensions that we have available.
That being said, you can use your domain here if you map it following the steps of this guide:

1 & 2. Yes, in fact, you don’t need to have a domain in order to start working on your site; you can purchase your plan from your Purchases page and map the domain when your site here is ready:

3. You can start building your site here using the free plan, but if you want to use the features of one of the other plans, you will need to get it first.
