  Hi! The domain I want to buy supposedly is already bought. I searched it on google and for my surprise, GoDaddy is selling it. I wanted to know If I was able to buy it from them and then transfer it to WordPress?

  Hi there!

  You should be able to register any free domain from My Site>Domains>Add domain, however, you can also purchase it from another registrar and transfer it over to WordPress.com.

  Bear in mind that there are some restrictions and not all the domains are eligible for a transfer, you can find more information here:

  If you can’t transfer your domain, you will still be able to use it with your WordPress.com site by mapping it here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
