Purchase a domain

  Hello, I am about to purchase a domain, according to the site, the domain itself costs $18 and the private registration service costs $8 making a total of $26. My question is, will I be the owner of that domain or that is a subscription that as soon as I end it, I lose the rights over that domain. I would also like to know if once I pay those $26, I am able to edit that domain from another platform.
