‘semantyk’ username

    Hi there!

    We write to you today because we noticed that the username ‘semantyk’ is unavailable.

    We are very interested in this username 🤓

    We’ve had really good luck with other platforms like GitHub and Facebook when asking for the chance to use this username as our own, and we sure hope we are as lucky with WordPress.

    Most of the time this username has not being used in years (sometimes even never), and their owners do not reply. In the case of WordPress, trying to login with this user returns a ‘User does not exist. Would you like to create a new account?’ error, but when trying to change our username to ‘semantyk’ we get an error saying the username was registered in Sep, 2020.

    Today we ask for your kind help, for the possibility of using this as our username.

    We currently own the domain [semantyk.com](http://semantyk.com/), [semantyk.org](http://semantyk.org/), [semantyk.info](http://semantyk.info/) and [semantyk.net](http://semantyk.net/). We are also in the process of registering our copyrighted trademark and can provide the necessary paperwork.

    Hi there!

    I’m afraid we can’t really help you with this; while it’s true that we don’t have any user with that username, there’s a site that used the address «semantyk.wordpress.com». When that happens, the username is automatically reserved for them. There’s a bit more information about that here – https://wordpress.com/support/create-a-blog/#frequently-asked-questions

    Sadly, in this case, that site is private, so you won’t be able to reach the user through the contact form either :(
