Adding featured image to homepage

    Hello! I’m having trouble with adding a featured image to my homepage (https://laurakakkonen.wordpress.com/, Hemingway Theme). Right now, every time I share a link to my homepage, the preview image is blanc, and I learned that adding a featured image to my homepage should help with that – the only problem is, I cannot find any place to do that. I can change the header image, but there are no other boxes to tick or buttons to click. I also tried adding the image link to the site’s code, but that didn’t work. Jetpack also advised to add a custom image meta tag to ’theme’s functions.php file’, but I couldn’t find that either :/

    Can someone help?
