Free WordPress.com domain but invoice waiting for the payment

  Hi!
  I’m a student and working with my WordPress.com school assignment. I have chosen a free site because I’m just practicing the WordPress for school purpose and not going to launch the site. Now I noticed that in my WordPress site there is an invoice of 48 EUR. Does anybody know what I need to change to get that charge away? Above the site there is still a text ’Free’
