Subscriber’s status ’Not sending’ can’t be reversed

    We have a subscriber whose email address was temporarily out of use. WordPress has marked the subscription as ’Not sending’. The subscriber’s email address is now active but he isn’t receiving any email notifications of new posts because of the ’Not sending’ status.

    We tried deleting the subscription but after the user subscribed our site’s posts again, the subscription still shows as ’Not sending’.

    The subscriber has also checked from subscribe.wordpress.com that the email notifications are on.

    How can we fix this problem? Our site is work related so users need to make the subscription to their work email addresses. Therefore we cannot suggest that the subscriber would use another email address.
