  So, to clarify, the domain is free for the first year with purchase of an annual plan. If you cancel the plan during its refund period and after the domain is no longer refundable, you would get refunded for the plan minus the cost of the domain. And then you could use the domain with another provider. You can find domain pricing here.

  If you’re not sure, I’d recommend using the plan with a free address for a bit. You can register the domain when you’re ready.
