  If the HTML code you add is being stripped out, it’s probably code that isn’t allowed here under the WordPress.com Free, Personal or Premium plans.

  Here’s a guide to the HTML tags which are permitted under those plans https://wordpress.com/support/code/

  If you would like to be able to add any other code, it requires a Business or eCommerce plan.
