“All my sites” listing old/deleted WordPress blogs I no longer have access to

The “manage all my sites” section on wordpress.com/stats lists all my self-hosted WordPress sites that I run on separate servers. Over the time I have had to move or delete some of these, but they are still appearing in the list. Currently 6 of them are actually running, 7 no longer are.

Is there any way of removing the ones that no longer exist from the list? I can’t find this function. When I try to go to the settings of one of the blogs that no longer exists, it keeps asking me to update jetpack for that site (which is impossible).

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

When you to to Manage All My Sites, click on the one you want to remove. Then look under Settings in that left sidebar. You’ll see the option to remove the site. See if that will work for you.

    Hi Susan,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately doing this shows me the error “There was an error retrieving your site settings.Make sure your Jetpack is up to date”.

Oh dear! And you no longer have access to those sites if they’re deleted. Sounds like a job for the staff here.

Hopefully either one of the regular volunteers here on the forum or a staff member will be able to help today.

Can you list either the sites you want removed, or the sites you want to keep (whichever list is easier)?

I will take care of it for you once I have the sites listed.

I have the exact same problem as foucusforaword. I have checked the box below this form to be notified of followup posts so I can see the solution.

Thank you all for your help all of the time :-)

I saw a response from rootjosh that I didn’t see a moment earlier so I thought I would pre-emptively follow those instructions and submit the name of the site that is no longer operational.

The name of the site as it is listed is: Anderson Construction with a domain name of: andersongrillo.com

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you RootJosh.

Side note: I take note of your profile picture with the mountains in the background and board in hand. I spent 12 years living in Winter Park Colorado and the high country of Colorado skiing my ass off and having the time of my life. Great memories.

As always, you guys are the best. Thank you.

    Hi rootjosh,

    Thanks for your answer.

Since I am paranoid about screwing up my SEO, would it be possible to send a list of the WordPress sites I would like to have removed from my “All my sites” listing to you via email or a private message?
