”This connection is untrusted“ Whaaaat? WordPress is untrusted?
-
Another screwy thing is happening. I went to my secondary blog and tried to access the Forum page and I got the following message ( https://en.support.wordpress.com/ ) :
”This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to en.support.wordpress.com, but we can’t confirm that your connection is secure.Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site’s identity can’t be verified. What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn’t continue.Technical Details
en.support.wordpress.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.wordpress.com , wordpress.com(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
I Understand the Risks“
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I decided to add a screen shot of that message:
-
Here is the URL you provided above https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Remove the “s” http://en.support.wordpress.com and try again. -
But I never typed in that “s.” I have my blog bookmarked and I have always just clicked onto that bookmark………….
I am wondering why all of a sudden that “s” got into the URL …… but at any rate, now I know what to do if it happens again.
Thanks, Timethief.

Ok, I just tested this out.
I was on my blog and I clicked MY ACCOUNT. Then I clicked the sub-menu SUPPORT. When I did that, the same message showed up again. Here it is: <img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-20777″ title=”Firefox” src=”http://lornakismet.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/firefox.jpg” alt=”” width=”594″ height=”468″ />
Of course I just deleted the “s” in the “https” in the address field, but the issue still exists: Something is awry with the SUPPORT link in (at least) my blog. Clicking that SUPPORT link puts the “s” onto the “http.“ Firefox doesn’t think that it is a secure site, so it generates that message.
I am thinking that the SUPPORT link in the MY ACCOUNT menu should be checked.

I haven’t been seeing that issue, but what I would do is log out of wordpress and clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser and try again.

SacredPath,
I did that. I usually do when a problem arises, since I know that issue of old stuff remaining even after new stuff has been added.I’ll see if it happens again today but I’m thinking it won’t
