    Does this only happen when you try to upload an image? The accepted image file types are JPG, JPEG, GIF and PNG. Are you trying to upload a different file type?

    Are you trying to add the image by URL, linking to it on the web? If so, if you use a source that is using HTTP and not HTTPS, you can get this warning.

    So you are using a VPN (Lantern) and browsing with Chrome?

    this page is trying to load scripts from unverified sources.

    This usually means that there are parts of the page you are viewing that are being loaded from HTTP and not HTTPS. If you trust the source of those scripts, you can permit them to load.

    Does this only happen on WordPressdotcom or on other websites too?

    Let me also tag this thread for Staff input as they have more experience with different web browsers.

    What happens if you use an incognito browser tab through Chrome? Have you tried disabling extensions?
