关于订阅通知邮件直接备份大量甚至完整文章内容

    我可以理解订阅通知邮件的存在。WordPress会向订阅者发送通知，既然我使用WordPress，我当然应该接受这一点。
    但这个功能是用来通知订阅者网站有新内容的，为什么邮件里直接把大量、甚至完整的内容都备份了下来，简直相当于把我文章自动备份给了别人，这很不合理，不是吗？

    我知道设置密码可以解决问题，但有的时候我会忘记给文章设置密码，又或者我没来得及设密码就不小心把文章发出去了——是的，我觉得你们的app按键设置也很奇怪，草稿一不小心就「发布」了，预发布文章也是一不小心就「立即发布」了——通常这不是什么问题。毕竟这些功能确实很常用，把它们放在容易点击到的地方也很正常，我只需要马上删除或者修改这些内容就可以了。然而，就因为这个订阅邮件，一切都变了。
    发布出去的内容直接就进了别人的邮箱，想删都删不掉。我失去了对我自己的文章的掌控。

    让我们再聊聊那些我愿意公开的文章。
    或许有一天我也会想把它删掉，又或者修改一些内容。这个不合理的订阅邮件也毁了这一切——尽管我的文章在公开期间也可能被他人备份，但这不一样——为什么一个更新通知会自带文章备份功能？
    这行我感觉就像自己像个被监视犯人，一举一动都被录了下来。即使我没有做任何错事。这实在太糟糕了。

    或许是我比较敏感，但我仍觉得这就是非常不合理的设计。
    确实，不小心发布了内容我也有错，但正常情况下，这应该是可以轻松补救的。

    But this function is used to notify subscribers that there is new content on the website. Why do you directly back up a large amount of or even complete content in the email, which is equivalent to automatically backing up my articles to others. This is very unreasonable, isn’t it?

    Are you saying you don’t want subscription emails to contain your full posts?

    If you don’t want that you can set your site’s feed settings under Settings ->Reader to Excerpt, and the email notifications will only show a short excerpt, with a link to the full post.

    But subscription emails aren’t “just a notification”. It’s a way for people to follow your site, in addition to or instead of the WordPress.com Reader, so they were designed to contain your post content as well.

    We keep forum threads around as they’re a valuable searchable support resource for our users, so we only delete forum content if there’s a valid security or personal safety concern.
