  Not sure. I want to link my wordpress blog to my domain. But if I change the DNS on my domain, does this bring down my website?

  Using the domain mapping upgrade means your domain name will point to your WordPress.com blog. Is this what you’d like to do?

  You may also want to map a subdomain to your site instead. This means you would use a custom URL like blog.yourdomain.com with your WordPress.com site:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/
