We cannot use javascript on wordpress.COM blogs. That is a forbidden tag and wp.com will strip it out.

We cannot use Google Analytics on wordpress.COM
here is a thread with a staff member’s reply:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-install-google-analytics?replies=2If you must have it, then you will have to install wp.org, buy a domain, and pay for another host:

Well this is very frustrating… Trying to install Google Analytics and cannot because I am on a WordPress.COM. I have purchased multiple packages on your site (including no-ads and extra data space, etc.) I’m now at a point with my blogging where I need to be able to track things like bounce rate with Google Analytics… Since it sounds like I will not be able to get these statistics from your current set-up, what are your policies on refunding for unused time on previously purchased products?

A bit of simple research from the link at the top of these forums shows the refund policy for the wp.com platform:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/#refundsPlease note that as volunteers, we don’t set policy. We give advice on questions asked by the community. I’m sorry you did not ask sooner, but you can most likely get a refund for the services you do not need.
(please note the 30 day limit for refunds)

Thank you for replying, but I don’t think there’s any need to be rude. We’re all just looking for answers here and your time is appreciated. I’ve done so much research over the past week my eyes are bleeding. For people that are not tech savvy, this isn’t a world that we understand easily and every new plug-in, tutorial, etc. brings more knowledge and more confusion. Plus between researching answers on wordpress.com and being redirected to answers on wordpress.org, you can understand why my ‘simple’ research may not have yet led me to the answers I was looking for. Hence why I ended up here.
And given that it takes four days to hear back from anyone on WordPress through their contact page, I was thrilled to find a forum where there seemed to be immediate response. I wasn’t aware that there was any difference between the moderators here and WordPress employees. I just wanted a response to my question. So thank you for answering it for me. And I appreciate you understanding that we’re all just learning here. =)

Most of the help in the forum is done by unpaid volunteers – including the moderators – most of the questions are ask and answered several times a day – most of us have cut and paste for many common questions – I have seen the same exact question posted up to 4 times on the front page because people did not look at what other people had ask for help on – a problem with the reader had around 10 threads at the same time for the same problem – yes some of us get a bit frustrated when people post the same question that we just answered a few hour ago – not so efficient

And most questions can easily be answered with a simple search that finds those repeated questions here as well as the Support pages like this one:
