(1) comments & likes don’t appear

  Dear Experts:

  I just finished building my new blog, then I tested the comment feature, and the test failed.

  Here is how I tested the comments:
  –I logged out of WordPress as ‘sinclablog’ (I’m creating this blog for my mystery writing group and when I created it I used the Gmail account for my writing group, not my personal Gmail account.)
  –I visited the site, and left a comment. I was prompted to supply a WordPress ID, and I supplied my personal ID which is ‘6cats’.
  –The comment seemed to work, but it never appeared.
  –So I logged out of WordPress as ‘6cats’ and then I logged back in as ‘sinclablog’
  –I looked at the Comments section, and there were no comments in the log.
  –So I logged out of WordPress as ‘sinclablog’ and just viewed my new WordPress site, and still I don’t see any comments.
  –Then I had a friend try to leave a comment. She was prompted for her WordPress ID, and she supplied it, and she left her comment. Same behavior, same failure.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I tried the comment test again, but this time, I logged into WordPress using “6cats” and *THEN* I left a comment, and *THEN* the comment worked.

  So, what I learned is that one can’t leave a comment while *SIMULTANEOUSLY* using the WordPress icon to log in. It won’t stick unless the visitor logs in first.

  But if you experts have something to add, I welcome it.
