  Hi, two things.

  1) is there a way to have no widgets at all on the side or is this automatic because of my theme? i want it to look like just information on the page without having a column of widgets.

  2) Is there a way to have my posts only show the first paragraph or two of them since my posts can be very long and id rather have the user click on it to read the full post.

  1. Your theme includes default widgets which display when no widgets are set. To trick this into giving you a blank sidebar, add a blank Text widget.

  2. You can’t do this automatically, but can manually split your content with a More tag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
