100% width for header and footer Coraline & Twenty Eleven

  • Unknown's avatar

I know some basic CSS and how on a HTML page to use divs to make on the top of a page a border that stretches the entire width of the page and do the same thing at the bottom (e.g. with the footer).

The Lumin template for example has that (http://www.elegantthemes.com/preview/Lumin/)

I want to adjust the Coraline template to also do that, but somehow I can’t find the tag caps the header as well as footer to a fixed width.

I want the content to remain at a fixed size, including the content of the header and footer (e.g. widgets, title etc.) but I want to give the header and footer a background color that stretches the entire width of the screen. What do I need to add/adjust?

    My blog is at http://www.skolpopia.nl/blog
