100s of Russian subscribers

    Hi all,

    Should I be concerned about suddenly getting 100’s of new subscribers from .ru email addresses? I have a small blog that is followed by family and friends but suddenly the last couple of weeks I have literally 100s of new subscribers, all from Russia.

    Should I be concerned or happy with the extra followers?

    I guess I’m a little concerned about hacking or something….

    Look into turning off registration for your site to stop spammers from registering for no reason.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
