10gb upgrade – can I still do it?

    I missed the mail about my annual automatic upgrade not having gone through. Is there still a way to get the 10gb upgrade – I dont want to upgrade to premium as I wouldnt use the other features and its significantly more (the storage upgrade was $20 per annum)

    staff-ozmodiar I saw you managed to help a few other people with this – my plan expired on Nov 27th. Can I get it extended so I can renew pls

    Please stop posting into threads others have posted and start your own thread by using this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1

    When you do that provide all relevant details such as:
    1. What is the domain URL?
    2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
    3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
    4. When was the upgrade purchased?
    5. When did any expiration, or refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?

    Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on the new thread for a Staff follow-up.     I was still able to restore the expired upgrade to your account with an expiration date in a few days. Please renew it from the Purchases page before it expires again.

    Please note that if you let this upgrade expire again it won’t be possible to add it back a second time.

    @kokkieh I got an email today which was the first I knew of this – saying that my upgrade would take place automatically today

    I have immediately gone in to change my set up details as the reason the upgrade previously failed- was because I have had a new credit card issues since last years upgrade (it had expired)

    I have put in the new credit card details but it looks like I was too late? I only got the email telling me about the upgrade 6 hours ago and have done my best to try and ensure the information is there for the automatic upgrade but it looks like I am already too late?

    I am so sorry but I have never used this help forum before and had thought I would get an email if there was activity on this thread. Unfortunately the first email I received was the one saying the money would be automatically taken. The card details are now set up for automatic payment – am I too late?

  • It looks like automatic renewal is disabled on that upgrade, so I’ve activated it for you. It should still go through.

    But you can also manually renew the upgrade via the Purchases page – you still have time to do that :)

    You need to subscribe to forum threads if you want to receive notifications of new replies. There’s a link in the sidebar you can use to do that.

    hi there – I am so sorry I am causing such trouble about this. I really want to do this but am obviously very inept!!

    I have tried to manually subscribe for the upgrade but when I click on “purchases” it just takes me to the uprade page and only gives me the standard upgrades.

    I have received a message saying that the automatic renewal on 8th didnt take place but it also says under “upcoming purchases” that there is an upgrade due to be billed on December 14th.

    If there is a way to manually set up this upgrade I would love to do it (before 14th) as it is stressing me out trying to hope the auto upgrade will work and wondering what happens if it doesn’t. Especially if you say the account is showing as having auto upgrade disabled!

    I have tried clicking on the “upcoming purchase” and clicking on “manage purchases” and have also tried clicking on the email I received where it tells me I can manually pay for the upgrade but both only ever took me to the “upgrade your plan” page (and still do take me there).

    I’m sorry my responses haven’t been very speedy – I am trying to deal with some family issues at the moment (my Dad is very ill) so I am not on email every day. I will try and get on tomorrow though to see if there is any way of getting this purchase set up – I am so grateful for your help

  • You should be able to renew it via the Purchases page, but I see it’s not listed there. My recommendation is to wait for it to automatically renew. I’ll check on this again on the 14th to make sure it goes through, and if it doesn’t I’ll let you know an alternative option. But for now it’s best to just wait for it to renew.

    Just wanted to confirm that your space upgrade is now renewed until next year, and you should see it in your Purchases page as well.

    thank you so much. I have only just looked at this (my Dad died on 14th December :( ) so pleased it is all sorted as obviously I was not here to check it went through. Thank you for your help – have a good Christmas
