$18 domain??

Hey all. I am new to this and have been doing research on domains. I wanted to direct my question directly to this link here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
It reads ‘Registering a domain through WordPress.com starts at $18.00 per domain, per year (see below for a detailed price list).’
However, the plans only show the $5.99, $8.25 and $24.92. I feel like I’m going cross-eyes trying to figure it out, but can anyone help me understand how to move forward?
Basically, I want the domain and the privacy (which I know is an additional $8) so do I get one of those 3 plans or is there the $18 option that I’m somehow missing?
Again- seriously new to this and out of my element so I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Domains are no longer available for purchase individually.
An active WordPress.com plan is required to add a custom domain to your site. Each plan comes with one free domain registration.You can register as many additional domains as you want on the same site, but you have to pay for additional registrations separately.
