$18 DOMAIN RENEWAL REFUND
-
I was notified yesterday that my credit card had been charged $18 to renew my site. I turned off auto-renewal, but I need to figure out how to make sure I am refunded the $18. It says my site is going to expire March 25th, so I shouldn’t have to pay $18 for a renewal that I cancelled. I made the site for a school project and don’t need it anymore.
Please advise. Thank you.

Hi there,
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that registered the blog and purchased the trial upgrade, you ought to be able cancel trial upgrades under Store → My Upgrades in your dashboard at any time, request a refund and also disable auto-renew.

refunds take 1 – 2 weeks to be received. As you have experienced an issue with this I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it please.

Hi there!
Sorry about that! It looks like auto renew was still enabled. I’ve refunded your purchase. It normally takes around a week for a refund to appear on your bank statement.
If you no longer need the domain, I can cancel it for you. Otherwise it will expire on March 26. Canceling a domain, or letting it expire, means that you completely give up ownership for it. It may not become available for purchase again. And someone else may be able to register it. Let me know if you’d like to go ahead with canceling your domain!
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with!

Thank you for the quick response and action!
You can go ahead and cancel my domain now if you don’t mind.
