1and1 Managed WordPress theme is different than WordPress.com theme

    I made a site on WordPress.com that I liked and wanted to re-create it in my 1and1 managed WordPress site. When I go to upload the same theme, it looks different, and I cannot edit it the same as before. Can someone tell me what is happening here?

    Are you running Edin on your self-hosted site? That’s the theme I see running on midnightsunpaint.wordpress.com. On your self-hosted site at 1 & 1, you’ll need to activate the Jetpack plugin to access some of Edin’s features, like the site logo, and the Custom Content Types module in Jetpack is needed for testimonials.

    Other customization options that we have on WordPress.com (like custom fonts) can be achieved in different ways over on a self-hosted site, so if you need further help with Edin, please feel free to post in its forum at WordPress.org:
