  I have two identical blogs with the same name. I’m not sure what happened but I need to know how to merge the 2.

  That’s very strange. What is/are the URL(s)?

  Hi there,

  It looks like the duplicate site was created when you changed your site address about a year ago. This happens very rarely, but it can happen.

  I can merge the two sites for you, but it’s safest that you’re not working on them while I do it, so please reply here to confirm that I can get started on that.

  Okay, I have merged the two sites, and you should now only see one site in your account.

  A few things:

  1. It appears you had been posting posts to both sites, so I have merged all the posts and pages into the one site. This means there’s a chance that some content might be duplicated. Please go to My Site ->Posts and My Site ->Pages and remove any duplicate content
  2. One site had a static home page and the other site didn’t. It looks like the menu was also set up slightly differently. After the merge the site doesn’t have a static front page anymore, so let me know if you need any help setting that up again.
  3. Also please double-check the settings for your site – if the sites had different settings only the settings of one site would have been preserved
  4. I’ve also merged the followers and stats of the two sites, which might cause some irregularities in the stats page. There’s nothing we can do about that, but at least you’ll know what’s causing it.

  Let me know if you need any more help getting the site back the way you want it.
