2 Blogs moving to one
-
If one blog is currently an upgrade / premium version and I want to close it and Upgrade the second, can any unused $ balance on the first blog be used against the new upgrade?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Hi there,
If you don’t need the upgrade on the first blog anymore, you can head to your My Upgrades page to transfer the upgrade to another blog. That way you can continue to use the upgrade you purchased on the other blog.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

I have added myself to Inspired Discovery as an administrator per your earlier request – please confirm if all ok now. I would then like to delete the Your People group blog MP

Hi there,
Your account mpomeroy2013 is only an administrator on the site yourpeoplegroup.wordpress.com. That specific account will need to be an administrator on the site inspireddiscovery.wordpress.com, also, in order to move the Premium plan you own from yourpeoplegroup.wordpress.com to inspireddiscovery.wordpress.com.
You can invite that account to be an administrator by inviting the username mpomeroy2013. (That will be sure you’re adding this specific account to that site.)
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
-
Hello. Just invited and accepted mpomeroy2013. Now what? sorry, this has become somewhat complex to figure out. thank you
-
I see you invited mpomeroy2013, so the next step is for mpomeroy2013 to accept that invitation. (That part hasn’t been done yet.) You’ll need to log on to WordPress.com with the mpomeroy2013 account and click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email (or copy the link and paste it in your browser). That will finish the process.
Once you’re done with that, just let me know and I can move the upgrade from one site to the other for you. If you have trouble accepting the invitation, please log in with the account mpomeroy2013 and let me know — that way I can help with that step.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for letting me know! I transferred the WordPress.com Premium plan from yourpeoplegroup.wordpress.com to inspireddiscovery.wordpress.com. (Your account mpomeroy2013 still owns that upgrade, but now it’s on the other blog.)
If you’d like to permanently delete the yourpeoplegroup.wordpress.com blog, you can do that now. (Please keep in mind that deleting a blog is permanent and that address can’t be used again by you or anyone else.) You can delete that blog under Tools > Delete Site in the blog’s dashboard.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!

Thank you. Is the new site ( inspired Discovery) now Premium? I just deleted the your people group blog. Is the mpomeroy2013 user name still required if using my user for Inspred Discovery?

Hi Mike,
Yes, the new site at inspireddiscovery.wordpress.com now has the Premium plan, so you can use all of the premium features there. Any of the administrators on that site can manage it and use those features.
The username mpomeroy2013 still owns the Premium upgrade, though, so you’ll need it to renew the upgrade in the future. (If you’d rather transfer ownership of the Premium upgrade to another user, so that user can renew it, just let me know the username you’d like to transfer it to.)
-
Hi again. Yes, I would like to transfer ownership to marlenepomeroy. My goal is to eventually drop the old username and get to the one (the yourpeoplegroup blog has been deleted and this user name was attached to it).
Thank you
Mike

Hi Mike,
Sure thing! I transferred ownership of the Premium upgrade to marlenepomeroy, so you’re all set with that.
The username mpomeroy2013 no longer owns any blogs or upgrades, so you don’t need to use it anymore if you no longer want it.
Just let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)

Thanks again. Sorry, couple more things:
1. In the spirit of streamlining everything, I have the second administrator – (email visible only to moderators and staff) – on the Inspired Discovery site which we require. Does this mean I have a second blog somewhere? i.e. beyond our main InspiredDiscovery blog. If so, do I need this one? If not, can this one be deleted ?
2. Can you advise on short cuts on how to add Pay Pal to our site?
Thanks again
Mike

Hi Mike,

I can’t give out details about that account without hearing directly from that user to ask about it. If you’d like you can email us from that email address and we can give you more information about the account and any blogs it’s linked to. Alternately, you can log in to that account and post here — that way I can share more details.
If you’re logged in to that account, you can also head to the My Sites page to see what sites are linked to that account.
2. Can you advise on short cuts on how to add Pay Pal to our site?
You can add a PayPal button to your site if you’d like. Just let me know if I can do anything more to help set that up. :)

OK, an email is on the way. I did log in and it looks like I only have the Inspired Discovery blog which is what I want. Thanks for the other info.
I will not be using the earlier email any longer ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and will be using this one.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for confirming you own this account, too. You’re right that this account is only linked to the Inspired Discovery blog at inspireddiscovery.wordpress.com, so you’re all set in that sense. :)

Hello. I have another question. I want to upload our logo to our site. When I follow the video to describe how to, I do not see the “add logo” option when I click on “site” on the right side?
Thoughts?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
The Site Logo feature is only supported by the themes listed here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/site-logo/
The Quintus theme you’re using doesn’t support that feature — instead, with that theme you can upload a custom header image with your logo in it.

Hello again. I am trying to upload a couple plug ins and having trouble. I understand I need to be able to see my wp-content/plugins folder, but cannot find it.
Can you help me locate this folder and then upload a plug in which is currently in a zip folder. I am on my Mac
thanks as always
Mike
