How do I integrate an old blog with a new one?
I had a blog at http://2ndon4th.com/
I accidentally created a new one at https://2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com/
I want to keep http://2ndon4th.com/ and integrate content from https://2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com/ to it.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! It appears as if you’ve canceled your domain registration. If you’d like to try again, I’m more than happy to help.
You do need your WordPress.com site (2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com/), regardless of purchasing a custom domain name. A domain name is…just a name. It is what appears in your visitor’s address bars when they visit your site.
You need a website in order to display your content at http://2ndon4th.com/. Nobody but you needs to know the WordPress.com site name, but you will use it to add, edit and maintain your pages/posts/media/etc.
Your custom domain 2ndon4th.com will “hide” the WordPress.com website name from the rest of the internet!

Hello, at the end of last October I paid $99 to renew, and I was corresponding with a customer service guy about this problem. He seemed to understand that I was trying to keep the content I had (at 2ndon4th.com) and keep adding to it. But I am still not able to do so. When I log in to my account, I can post new blogs but they do not integrate with the old content. Do I need to start all over, or can I keep the blog posts I had and just regain access to them to keep adding more?

When I visit 2ndon4th.com, I do see eight posts. Is this your “old” content?
I’m wondering if you’re logging into the wrong Dashboard in order to post and that’s why your new posts are not appearing at 2ndon4th.com.
Please do this:
- Log into your WordPress.com site, by clicking here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?
- Sign in using 2ndstreetbakingco as your user name.
- Then, click Posts → All Posts in your site’s Dashboard, or click here:
https://2ndon4th.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php - Click Add New and create a new post. Then, publish it. Take a look at 2ndon4th.com and let me know if the post appears.

Hi! I logged in as you tole me to, under the username 2ndstreetbakingco. I went to posts>all posts, and I can only see one new one (Avocado Blues) and a draft I recently made. none of the other 8 older posts are there. I published a new Test Post 8-27 to see what happens. When I “view post” it is posted at http://2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com/2014/08/27/test-post-8-27/ and not with the old content at http://2ndon4th.com/.

You logged into 2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com, rather than 2ndon4th.wordpress.com.
Your new account — 2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com — is not the WordPress.com blog that is affiliated with http://2ndon4th.com/. It is 2ndon4th.wordpress.com that you’ll need to log into to see your old posts.
You are contacting me via the user account: 2ndstreetbakingco. This is not the user account with which 2ndon4th.com was created. You’ll need to log in with that other account in order to edit that website. Are you able to do that? You do need access to that site in order to transfer the content from 2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com to it.
If you have trouble doing this, log out of WordPress.com, then try to log in again and click “Lost your password?” in order to get help with that log in info.
After you go through that process and have access to your first site, I can help you integrate the two sites.

I finally got into the old account! Thank you so much, I wasn’t understanding that I had a different username until now for the old blog. Now I can access both blogs. How do I combine them into just the one under 2ndon4th?

Excellent! So glad that part of the process is ironed out :)
If you want to move the content of 2ndstreetbakingco.wordpress.com into 2ndon4th.wordpress.com (which has the domain, 2ndon4th.com), you can run an export/import.
You’ll export the content from the first site, and upload (import) it into the second one.

Ok I signed into the newer account, exported the posts and saved the file, then logged in under my old account and imported the file. Should that do it?

It should indeed. Take a look at the “old/wanted” site and make sure that you see all your newer content there.
Then, my suggestion is to make your “new/unwanted” site private. That way, no one else will be able to see it, but on the off chance you didn’t get all the content from it, or need to refer back to it at some point, you’ll have access.
