2 categories issues

  Hi. I have a couple of problems with my categories section. Mine is a recipe site, and ‘one of my subcategories, fish, has somehow ended up as a main category. I couldn’t figure out how to fix it, so it has just been sitting there looking stupid for 6 months. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

  Second, it has been awhile since I set up all this stuff, so I seem to have gotten a bit rusty. I want to create a new category: Simple Family Fare, as a Main category. Underneath the category list, there is something that says “add new category”, which I have tried to use, but it is failing. Can you help?

  I messed around with the fish subcategory and finally managed to get it in the right alignment, but I cannot get that new main category to show up on my blog. I even went into the categories page and reentered all the stuff.

  Please read these sections below knowing that categories and tags can only be assigned to posts (not to pages) and until there is a published post in a category there is no data to be displayed.
