2 Factor Authentication Lockout

  Long story short: stolen phone, recovery codes lost in the office, (not by me!). Means I’m locked out of wordpress.com for the account ‘luxurytraveldiary’, (logged in using an alternative account to post this).

  Were still authenticated on an office iPad but there’s not any options to modify an account via the wordpress iOS app.

  Is there any info I can provide that would let me back in? I’ve purchased vaultpress so could provide the credit card details on file, etc to a wordpress staff member.

  Note: we’re self hosted, we use our wordpress.com account to connect to ValutPress, Jetpack notifications and stats. I’ve tried to recover my account via wordpress.com but no dice, it throws an error about the website not existing on WordPress.com (https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery). Tried the SMS reset but haven’t received a text?!

  Relise that all sounds really suspect! But if a staffer could get in contact via the email address registered to the locked out account, (luxurytraveldiary), I could provide any information necessary.

  Someone from our VaultPress team will be in touch with the owner of the account in question. I’m going to close this thread as we can’t address account recovery issues in the forum, but you/they should hear something soon.
